Abstract
With the continuation of social distancing measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing prevalence of single-person households, the number of individuals suffering from depression has also been on the rise. Keeping pets or plants has proven to be highly effective in alleviating depression and maintaining regular life patterns. However, practical challenges such as housing restrictions, noise concerns, and time constraints make it difficult for many to care for living companions.
To address these issues, this study proposes a novel interactive smart speaker concept designed with consideration for users experiencing depression and their surrounding environments. The proposed solution aims to offer ease of care and meaningful interaction, providing an innovative alternative to traditional pets or plants.
